I recently moved up here from Temecula where I trained reined cow horses for almost nine years. I now reside in Porterville at the Dilday's ranch.  I was recently elected the new VCHA President for 2009, along with new Vice President John Ward, Secretary Cynthia Bias, and Tommy Thompson is now the club’s Treasurer. It is a great group of officers for a very exciting 2009. We have a few changes for the upcoming year I would like to mention. We will only be printing 4 newsletters this year in an effort to save on costs. You will continue to see all current standings and information online. Another change for 2009 will be a slight rise in entry fees and membership dues. The increase will be minimal, however very helpful to the club to maintai n the same high quality of shows you are accustomed to. An exciting change for next year is a new show in Tulare at the Agri-Center in February. This show will have two judges for one run. Each judge’s placing will count separately. So the one run you make in Tulare will count as two shows in our year end standings. This show will be run by the NSHA so entries will take place through that association. We have also decided to change the Summer Spectacular back to the Spring Classic and have it in May. There will be no herd work but rather two days of NRCHA approved shows.
